The sessions and discussions were insightful and informative, and I had a great time networking with other professionals in the industry. Thank you for the opportunity to participate and for the excellent organization.
Lars Kramm
Head of Privacy & Data Protection Officer at Pharmacy2UHad an excellent couple of days. It has given me a lot to think about and options for application of digital solutions into an NHS setting. I felt the event was well organised, the sessions were focused and varied but still felt relevant to the overall focus of the summit.
It’s very rare to have the opportunity to attend an event of this size given NHS funding so I personally really appreciated the support from ELN in enabling me to attend the two days.
Adam Churcher
DPO at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation TrustI really enjoyed the event and have made some great contacts to go forward with. I also learnt a lot from different perspectives, you rarely get the chance to engage on such a level with Data Protection and Marketing so that has given me a slightly better insight into that area of business.
The Dinner was awesome and as I told Tanya I was a massive football fan they made sure that I had the chance to have a brief chat with Fabrice. Again, it was networking and chewing the fat that has meant the contacts I have made can help Charles Taylor improve and I can also give back to the community.
I’m looking forward to the next event already and as it is only a short hop to Reading it makes it much more bearable rather than travelling hundreds of miles and missing speakers due to trains etc.
You and the rest of the team are great, and I wouldn’t mind getting a bit more involved going forward. There were a few people who asked if I worked for ELN because I seemed so comfortable talking to everyone.

Dean Chetty
Data Strategy and Architecture at The Football AssociationI was very honoured to be asked to speak on an expert panel recently, discussing the balance of marketing and privacy, at the Executive Leaders Network (ELN) conference in Reading. There was some great dialogue, views, hints, and advice, and it was great to meet with some fellow professionals from the data protection and marketing world, Lars Kramm, Nicola Lishak, Carly Hitchman (Morris), Chris Combemale, and William Richmond-Coggan.
It's good to see such events well and truly back on the agenda after all the lockdown issues, and these ELN conferences are first-class.
I would highly recommend anyone in the CTO/COO/CISO and DPO fields to attend any future ones organised by ELN, as they have a good mix of both InfoSec and Data Protection subjects being discussed, with the InfoSec elements being something that our roles need to encompass as the two areas often overlap in so many places.
Congratulations to all the ELN team members who organised this and to all the speakers and delegates for making it an excellent function to discuss ideas during both the talks, and during social time.
So, a big "well done" to Tanya Pryke-Smith, Steve Ashton, Charlotte Brown, Jonathan Newstead, Richard Parsons, Lucy Redwood, and all the rest of the ELN team.

Head of Enterprise Risk at Pantheon VenturesI want to express my gratitude for the impeccably organised Executive Leaders Network event in Reading this week (9 November 2023). Simon La Band, Director at PRGXI have gone to a lot of conferences, summits and networking events over the years and I have to say the Executive Leaders Network (ELN) HR Summit was genuinely on another level.
Not only were the speakers second to none, and the topics varied across the HR spectrum; The event stood out for the genuine connections forged among speakers and attendees, who all willingly shared personal stories and challenges alongside their own insights for organisational improvement and change.
A special mention to Tasneem Bhopalwala (CIPD), Annisha Taylor (Assoc. CIPD), Heather Coker, Nicola Richardson, Nicolas Mendoza, David Edwards and Tanya Pryke-Smith who welcomed me so warmly to my first ELN summit and for the insights and stories shared.
Personally, as a younger leader it has been hard to navigate events at times not for the lack of trying or want, but have found age discrimination at the forefront of many interactions whether it be a lack of perceived experience [here I always say it is quality over quantity] or a perception I have nothing to bring to the table - it has been extremely frustrating especially when you don't know someone's personal life and struggles to have the biased assumption, but to see this group of people from across industries and seniorities be so open, engaged and wanting to connect for the future - it truly meant a lot and gave me confidence that we do have the right senior leaders in place [well for these organisations anyway]
Finally, as a big football fan, to have it hosted at Reading Football Club and enjoy the talks on the half way line - made it for an extra special event.

Last week I attended the Executive Leaders Network (ELN) HR Engage Summit, and what a day it was. Insightful keynote speakers and panel discussions, hosted by Peter Dorrington on topics that are on (or at least should be) every workplaces agenda,
A few that I had the pleasure of listening to and connecting with:
Sarah Ford from Diageo sharing how they foster a culture of collaboration.
Dan Fulker from Nuffield Health & Katie Wery from Medigold Health discussing the importance of wellbeing in the workplace.
One of my favourite panels from the day (I'm a little biassed as I enjoyed an evening meal with these guys a day before, and it's a passion topic for me!) Maria Hawley FCIPD from Fisher German LLP, Heather Coker from Morgan Advanced Materials & Michael Celestin (Assoc CIPD) from Knight Frank Promise sharing their insights and discussing the importance of human leadership.
Last but not least, another favourite because of the frank (much needed) conversations around inclusion and belonging with Tasneem Bhopalwala (CIPD) from Oxford University Press, Zakaria Milad from Just Eat Takeaway.com, Annisha Taylor (Assoc. CIPD) from BBC and Sarah Hayes - Chartered(FCIPD) from Securitas Technology UK
It's always great to connect with people who share the same drive and passion for change, learning, and growth.
